I was diagnosed with a stage 3 brain tumour almost a year ago. I have had radiotherapy and remain on monthly chemo. My mobility has been affected and I need help & a wheelchair to get around.

with COVID  as well and having a weak immune system I don’t get out much what is everyone else doing

I can’t risk an infection but otherwise I can’t get out much

  • Hi @charlotteLG,

Sorry no one has replied so far. it sounds rough - like most of us on these forums,we have to be careful and getting out and about is even harder for you. Thankfully as the weather improves, you may be able to spend more time in outdoor spaces, as I think most of us feel safer outside. Hope you have supportive people who can help you. Havent checked but if you havent joined the forum for people with brain tumours might be helpful as others will have similar expereinces

  • Hi. Thank you for your reply, it is good to know if somebody else is experiencing the same problem. When I was on my radiotherapy and chemo I was prescribed 2 a day for the six weeks, but after three days it was suggested that I try without the anti-sickness completely, and I was fine. However once the radiotherapy finished, and the chemo dose was doubled I was prescribed two anti-sickness again. After about six months the pharmacist suggested I try not taking the anti-sickness the following morning after the chemotherapy  and just stick to the one a n hour before. Again I still am not having any nausea on there but they are reluctant to let me take less than the sickness even though this seems to be causing more problems than it’s worth.

I have several boxes of domperidone as well which I was given as an emergency anti-sickness to take any time, and they’re all still sealed. The doctor keeps offering to give me more but I just don’t need them so I have a surplus of them as well.
