I Dignosed with Pancreatic neuroendocrine cancer spread to liver in October. The problem I'm having is I find it really uncomfortable wearing a bra. The band going under the breast is the most uncomfortable. I've been going braless Nd tried sports type bra but can't get one that doesn't feel uncomfortable. Any suggestions of where I can get help with this. Thanks
Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community
I can't help with suggestions for a comfortable bra but I thought I'd suggest that you post this question in the breast cancer group as well as I'm sure the ladies over there will be able to give recommendations. If you'd like to do this then clicking on the link I've created will take you there and you can then join and post in the same way as you did here.
I hope you find something suitable soon.

Hi Jobo22, I have metastatic melanoma that spread to lymph nodes in my abdomen I found I could not wear any under wire bras as they were too uncomfortable, sports bras tended to grip too tightly underneath in the very area that for me I think kept fluctuating in size. I did however find that general supermarket labelled bras with wide straps at the top have been ok, but not the thin strapped ones. A larger size than normal coped with any fluctuation which usually would happen as the day wore on, but not too big that it was useless. You may have tried this and I was just lucky that it worked for me.
You may be lucky and have others with a variety of cancers that might have the experience you are looking for and will spot your post here to reply.
Take care KT
Hi
ooooh I have taken part in so many "what bra " discussions on runners' forums. Love this subject!
In this Macmillan dept/team, I haven't been uncomfortable with my current day-to-day setup. However, I did buy a basic lycra, over-the head, cropped top from ebay for £3. It's more a breast vest top than a bra offering any support. However, it's a win-win for MRIs as there are no metal fastenings in the chest strap or the shoulder straps.
I basically live in bralettes right now.
I wear them exclusively now. These are my top picks for everyday/basic supportive styles:
