How many guys say no to a surprise Doctor suggestion of a there and then Prostate exam just because of fear of embarrassment? I know I would have said no not now this visit! But I got lucky as I suspected something might literally be up, so I had a wash before my unrelated visit and could in fact say yes... And they did in fact find Cancer.
How many guys...
Hi Be washed just in case and a very warm welcome to the online community
I'm sorry to read that you've been diagnosed with cancer but I completely agree that it's important to not feel embarrassed about being examined.
As you've mentioned a prostate examination I'm going to recommend that you join and post this in the prostate cancer group which is a great place to ask questions, share experiences and get support.
If this is something that you'd like to do clicking on the link I've created will take you straight there where you can join and post in the same way as you did here and also join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
It would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
