Hi,
im just wondering if anyone has ever had a larger lesion found inside their cervix?
it was found by my gp after I felt heaviness and was referred to gynaecologist who then has referred me to oncology gynaecologist to operate and remove the lesion and investigate. It’s all moved so quickly and now im terrified that it’s going to a bad outcome.
I have had extremely heavy periods and spotting in between along with severe lower back and pelvic pain. Would the lesion cause pain? It worries me that the oncology gynaecologist has written in the summary that she can’t tell me what it is until further investigation is done.
thanks for any advice, surgery Friday.
Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community
It's natural to be worried and anxious when something unexplained is found. As the online community is divided up into different support groups I'm going to recommend that you join the cervical cancer group. This isn't because I think you have cervical cancer but because it's a great place to ask questions, share experiences and get support from others who may have had a similar experience to you.
To join these just click on the link I've created and then choose 'click to join' or 'join' (depending on the device you're using) on the page that opens. You can then introduce yourself and post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
It would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
If you have any difficulty navigating the community just drop me a reply and I'll be pleased to help.
