I have just finished chemo and have a very sore tongue, it’s almost like I’ve lost a layer of skin . Has anyone got any tips or remedies to make it feel better, or even how long it’s likely to last although as I’ve learnt to realise everyone is different and chemo has so many side affects!
Hi Dawny Dawn and a very warm welcome to the online community
I'm sorry to read that you have a very sore tongue after finishing chemotherapy and I imagine that it's very unpleasant.
The online community is divided up into different support groups so if you don't mind telling me what type of cancer you have I can give you a direct link to the group where you might find others with the same experience. Alternatively you could look through this list and choose the one that is right for you.
It would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
If you have any difficulty navigating the community just drop me a reply and I'll be pleased to help.
