Today I received a call from our local hospice to let me know that my amazing husband is now receiving end of life care. He's currently in hospital with an infection and has stage 4 cancer which is aggressive and has spread. He will be coming home for me to care for him. This has all happened  within 5 weeks when he was first diagnosed.  How will I find the strength to keep him going and provide care. I have family support but when they all go home how will I do it. I have never faced anything so bad before. Can't stop crying ( in private)  Has anyone any advice xx

  • Hi

I'm so sorry to read the news that you have received today about your husband and it's no wonder that you're feeling as you do.

As you know, the online community is divided up into different support groups so I hope you don't mind me suggesting that you join the supporting someone with incurable cancer group where you can safely discuss your emotions as well as practical issues about palliative care and end of life

To join just click on the link I've created and then choose 'click to join' or 'join' (depending on the device you're using) on the page that opens. You can then introduce yourself and post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

    Sending ((hugs))
