Hi, wondering if anyone can give me some positive news? I had breast cancer in 2017 which included a mastectomy, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and herceptin. I have just found out I now have uterine serous and am devastated! The consultant has reassured me its a stage1a but will need a hysterectomy followed by more chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Has anyone else had this and if so give me some positivity to hang onto as iam really struggling. Would love to hear from anyone.

  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the online community

I can completely understand how devastated you must feel having just been told that you have uterine cancer and it's natural that you'd want to hear some positive stories.

The online community is divided up into different support groups so I'm going to recommend that you join the womb cancer group which is a great place to ask questions, share experiences and give and receive support.

To join just click on the link I've created and then choose 'click to join' or 'join' (depending on the device you're using) on the page that opens. You can then introduce yourself and post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'. To save typing all this out again just copy and paste it into a new post in the bowel cancer group.

It would be great if you could pop something about your journey with cancer into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

If you have any difficulty navigating the community just drop me a reply and I'll be pleased to help.
