Hi,
My 91 year old very frail mother has today been diagnosed with terminal cancer, she has made the decision not to seek any treatment and wants to enjoy what time she has remaining at home where she lives with me.
She is currently in Hospital and is expected to return home within a few days.
I have no idea what to expect from the coming months or what kinds of support she can call upon as things progress.
We are all in shock and would like some pointers on what we should do next.
Hi and welcome to the online community although I'm very sorry that you've had to find us.
A cancer diagnosis brings with it a lot of questions so I hope you don't mind me suggesting that you join the supporting someone with incurable cancer group where you can discuss your emotions as well as practical issues about palliative care. If this is something that you'd like to do then clicking on the link I've created will take you straight there. You can then join and post in the same way as you did here.
Sending a virtual ((hug))
