My husband has had stage 4 kidney cancer for 3 years. He has been on cabozantinib for 7 months and this weeks scan results show it has stopped working and the cancer has been growing and spread to lymph nodes. He is such a positive person and the oncologist has agreed that he can take cabo for another 3 months. He is so poorly when he takes it and I am confused as to why the oncologist has said 3 more months. Has anyone else had significant growth and carried on with the same treatment.
Hi
Although I can't help with your question, I hope you don't mind me suggesting that you also post this question in the kidney cancer group which I can see you're a member of. If you'd like to do this clicking on the link I've created will take you straight there. Posting in that group will connect you to others with kidney cancer who may have had a similar experience to your husband.
Wishing you and your husband all the best
