Back in September I had a rare chordoma tumour removed along with 3 bones in my neck. The op took place anterally and posterally over 2 days. I wear a neck collar all day taking it off to sleep. I suffer with terrible muscle spasms and pain in my shoulder and my neck and no medication seems to have an effect. I am unable to do anything physically for more than 5-10 mins which means I'm sitting in a recliner most of the time to try to ease the spasms. Does anyone else suffer? Found a good medication? Have any hints. I'm getting fairly low with this at times and it can bring me to tears with the pain.
Nicola
Having read all that you're having to deal with it's no wonder that you're feeling low.
I understand that a chordoma tumour is a type of bone cancer so I hope you don't mind me suggesting that you also join and post this question in the bone cancer group which is a great place to ask questions, share experiences and get support from others with this type of tumour. If you'd like to do this clicking on the link I've created will take you straight to that group where you can join and post in the same way as you did here.
I hope you're able to get this pain sorted soon.
((hugs))
