HI
I can understand why you might wonder why you're not having your appointment in your hospital's outpatients department. It could be something as simple as that it's the only place that has a free room when your consultant wants to see you. However, to stop the worry, you could give the consultant's secretary a call and ask her.

Hi , I wouldn’t read too much into the place, I’m not local to that area, but because of social distancing there has been lots of chatter on this site about relocating services to different hospitals or different departments. I have my oncology treatment on a Sunday now in a haematology treatment department just because that’s where the space is available and where it’s closer to the carpark to avoid walking through the hospital. I imagine some research departments are quiet at the moment. Your head is bound to wonder though, me I think I’d just go with it and not worry.
Take care KT
