My sister had a lung lumpectomy at xmas and now showing nodules on t7 spine. Hasn't had any scans since lockdown.. has anyone had scans in the last 10 weeks. Does it depend on which hospital?
Hi and welcome to the online community
I'm sorry to read that your sister hasn't had a recent scan after having a lumpectomy.
As this group is a general chat group, I hope you don't mind me suggesting that you join and post in the lung cancer group as there you'll be able to ask questions, share experiences and get support from others who will have the experience you're looking for.
To join just click on the link I've created and then choose 'join this group' on the page that opens. You can then introduce yourself and post your question after selecting 'start a discussion' and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
When you have a minute, it would be really useful if you could pop something about your sister's journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Edit Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

Hi ,
I’m sorry to hear about your sister, it’s worry times. I had a CT scan a week ago which was brought forward when I felt an increased lump, while on a treatment break. I’m being booked in for an MRI with in a week they hope as they need a more detailed look at my liver. Originally my 3 monthly scan was going to be delayed 2months til July. It must be more difficult keeping to timings for the NHS spacing patients out in the waiting areas, and keeping in mind risk to virus versus risk of delays to treatment.
As latchbrook says you may get more of a feel for things in the lung group, they may have been given more info on risks specific to lung cancer being weighed up against delays. But you’re right which hospital may also matter, your sister will have a cancer nurse to contact if she’s having problems who will be able to liaise with the rest of her hospital team. Sometimes the delay isn’t too important or is within their guidelines, but it doesn’t feel like it at the time, the nurse might be able to help ease her concerns or push things along.
Take care.
Take care KT
Hi ,
I had a CT scan last week. I have one every twelve weeks as part of the trial I am on and I expect them to continue regardless of whatever else is going on as it determines what treatment I have.
The process was slightly changed in that I normally have tp drink a contrast drink over the period of an hour beforehand but did not do so this time as they were struggling to get and disinfect the containers for the liquid but also did not want anyone sitting in a waiting area for an hour. Your sister might want to talk to her GP to ask who she needs to contact tp find out what is going to happen now. Sometimes you have to make a bit of noise to make sure that they don't forget you or that you fall between the cracks.
Wishing you and your sister all the best.

I had a scan at Arrow park hospital Liverpool on 02-04-20 the hospital seemed to be working as normal albeit with social distancing, And no P.P.E in the scanning department, elsewhere in the hospital social distancing was non existent with nurses walking around in groups without any P.P.E doctors also not wearing P.P.E
Yes, I had both a CT and MrRI scan on23/7 at Lister hospital, Stevenage
Ah that's good to know it's still working I am due for mine soon, hope yours went ok and you get better results that what you are/were hoping for
