Hi all, I’ve never been blessed with nice / strong nails and was really surprised how much they had grown during chemotherapy lol I kept mentioning it to the nurses to be told oh just wait they won’t last long and true enough they have all broke and split right up the nail bed and look dreadful now ! Is there any known treatment to help or is it best just to leave alone ? All advice welcome
Hi Betsy001,
I'm sorry to hear about your nails but I'm afraid it is not a thing I have any experience of. I see that you are also a member of the breast cancer groups and you might find more information about your nail problems with them.
I am aware that chemo can often affect toe nails as well as the fingers and know that some people have been referred to podiatrists for these but don't know if they receive any specific treatment.
Wishing you all the best with your treatment.
Gragon xx
