so having had my first chemo session on the 26th, i now feel a bit rubbish.
My head feels so heavy and bogged down.
I am fatigued, but its the mental fatigue thats crushing me.
Also i had looked on this site previous to starting my chemo and had inteneded to post my experience with chemo, in the new April chemo group..or some such thing..now i cant find it.
Also one about walking, to help with symptoms of chemo..that too seems to have vanished.
Maybe the steroids are sending me loopy but i cant find anything on here today.
Reading about fatigue, there is a fatigue diary to download..except hat it doesn't work.
Have put a post on chemo group..but not had any replys as yet.
so all in all im feeling a bit alone, miserable and worried.
I dont feel very supported by this website..sorry.
Hi ,
I'm sorry to hear that you are feeling so down and not supported. I'm afraid I don't know where the current chemo group is but I am tagging ronstar who I hope will be able to help you find the discussion.
I feel a bit useless for you as I have not had chemo or steroids but do know that lots of people struggle with them. Hopefully someone will be in touch soon and you will not feel so isolated. You are certainly not alone on this site but some threads are busier than others.
I can't offer much more except a virtual hug but you are more than welcome to that.
love and hugs,
Gragon x
Hi
I'm sorry to hear you are not feeling supported by us - I hope we can put that right.
Chemo can be a tough gig and, depending on the drugs you are on - can hit you at various times. I suffered a lot with fatigue at the end of my treatment so I understand how draining and frustrating that can be.
The monthly chemo chat groups you are looking for are probably the ones in the breast cancer group. If you have joined the group then it should come up on the left hand side of the screen when you log on to the community.
Here is a link to the May group which started yesterday.

The walking one is possibly the walking back to happiness thread -
community.macmillan.org.uk/.../walking-back-to-happiness
we all post our walking, cycling, swimming etc. It is great motivation and everyone is very encouraging.
I'm not sure about the fatigue diary - if I find it then I'll see if there's anything we can do to help you download it.
I hope you will soon be joining in with us all in the breast cancer group - we are a large and very friendly bunch of people and want nothing more than to help support everyone going through this.
Hope you are feeling a little better today!
