Hello everyone
I was diagnosed with HER2 positive breast cancer last year. I had a mastectomy and immediate reconstruction. Unfortunately this didn’t take well so I had to have this replaced with an expander which I had for around 8 months and I have had what I hope is the definitive surgery with an implant. I felt really positive about this however 4 weeks post surgery I have a lot of rippling and I wondered if anyone else had experienced this?
I sometimes feel guilty for worrying about the aesthetics as I’m so grateful to be here but I can’t help but want to feel a little confident with the look.
I would be so grateful if anyone could give me an insight into this experience as I feel very alone in this as I’m sure you all understand.
thank you xxx
Hi Carrot
I'm sorry to read of your cancer diagnosis and surgery. I have not had the same type of cancer so I hope you don't mind me responding. By responding this will place your post back at the top where it may be seen by more members of the breast group.
In the meantime, is it worth giving your CNS a ring to explain as it may need looking in to. The Macmillan helpline is open and there are nurses who could maybe give you advice. The link to contact is https://www.macmillan.org.uk/about-us/contact-us
Best regards
