Hi everyone. I was told in clinic this week after a mammogram and ultrasound that I have breast cancer. The specialist nurse seemed positive and said the lymph nodes look clear and looks early. I have one lump with 2 small coming off it. All together is 3cm. I’m scared of what’s ahead. Any similar stories? Results on Thursday. TIA
So I’ve just had a phone call from the breast nurse. I should’ve been allocated a nurse before I left the clinic but wasn’t so she was calling to apologise and also advise that I need a further vacuum assisted biopsy as there are 2 areas of microcalcification. I don’t really understand it all but I’m booked in tomorrow for that. She’s advised that it’s more painful than the initial biopsy but hoping that it will not be too bad xx
Not the best day to be honest. They weren’t able to do the vac assisted biopsy because I don’t have enough fat so took 6 biopsies under mammogram. There were 6 people in the room which made me a bit anxious and then was told when they’d finished that they weren’t able to collect the samples that they needed so will have to travel to another hospital for this I’m hoping that this doesn’t delay the results. I just need to know now. Thank you for thinking of me.
How are you getting on? xx
