What is it like having chemo in current crisis?

I’ve just had meeting with my oncologist and he said he would have normally suggested 8 doses of chemo, and then radio and then tamoxifen.
In current climate, he says he would reduce chemo to 4 doses.
the other option is not to go ahead with the chemo and just take tamoxifen plus an anti hormone injection...think it was called zolidex. As well as Radio.

I think I should probably have the chemo but I’m just wondering if anyone is having at the moment and how has it been? Or is anyone in the same boat and been given this decision?

I felt so happy that my mastectomy had gone well, and now I feel low again and worried about the future. Such a rollercoaster. X

So good to know it gets better. Day 7 now and feeling ever so slightly better. I didn’t bother with cap either as I wanted to get in and out as quick as poss.
For some reason I thought I’d be able to potter about a bit more but I’m basically in my bed, but have been downstairs today and had to give my kids a cuddle today as I was missing them too much!
glad you’re doing ok, and Thanks for tips on laxitves and water, will make sure I keep up with those!

I also got thrush on my tongue on Friday so got straight into my nurses and they prescribed  some meds immediately which was good- so many pills!

  • Hi all,

I've been away for a whole ( well not literally in the current climate) but still waiting for some results to come back. I really hope you ladies are doing fine through the chemo.

R81... I heard someone mention frozen grapes for cold sores. Not sure if the same applies but perhaps someone can shed light on it for you. It may work.

Take care all, we are past that peak so stay in there all.
