Hi everyone,
Feel a bit of a fraud as I dont even know if I have cancer but desperate to do something proactive while waiting for results. I felt a large lump in breast that seems to have appeared out of nowhere, dr says it definitely not a cyst and have thickening of lymph nodes. Got my biopsy appointment tomorrow and cant help panicking. All my bones are aching but that could be stress and honestly I'm just thinking about my hubby and daughter whose only 8. Came on here to see what support is out there if I need it. Any advice on managing the waiting??Wishing everyone on here love and best wishes whatever stage you are at xxxx
Hi Cheeboe,
The waiting really is the most awful part - everyone who has been in this situation would agree. You just have to take a day at a time and although easier said than done - worrying won’t change the outcome so try and take some deep breaths and focus on some positive things.
I really hope that this will be a flying visit to this site for you but if not you are most definitely in the right place. There are lots of ladies here that offer lots of support and advice.
Sending lots of love and hugs

Hey
Your not a fraud , your going through something and need support .
its such a worrying time and I’m here to listen and support you best I can .
I had my biopsies taken on the 29th October my results appointment is Monday 11th and I have barely slept since imagining the worst.
i will feel so silly for all this worry if all okay but at this moment and time I don’t know .
Im a mum to 3 boys and a nurse and see the worst side of this disease and can be so positive for my patients but only negative thoughts for myself .
i wish you so much luck tomorrow , the process is fairly painless so don’t worry about that . Do you have someone to go with you ?

Hi Karyn,
Thanks so much for taking time to message me, especially at such a stressful time for you. I'm also a nurse! It's really hard when you have that kind of knowledge and experience isn't it? Work and my husbands work are being very supportive luckily so I have him to go with me. Just trying to stay strong so my daughter doesn't suspect anything wrong. I'll keep you in my thoughts for your result day.

Hi Cheeboe,
we totally understand how you are feeling. Try to deal with this step by step and take it one day at a time as it is so overwhelming and your mind goes into overload. None of this journey is very nice but you find the strength to cope and get through it .
I do hope that it’s not BC but if it is it is treatable as I was in a state of shock numbness and thought the worse as I have a 4 year old daughter. She is what gets me through this. It has certainly changed my outlook on life now.
This site is so comforting, really supportive and can offer advice as it’s a minefield. I was waiting on results for over a month on a test to determine my treatment plan DX Onco test as I had already had my surgery to remove my cancer which took over a month and I was so anxious and stressed but my outcome was good but everyone on here helped as I was struggling.
Please let us know how you get on and use this site like counselling as no one can know how you feel unless they have been through it and we have or are going through it. Fingers crossed it will be good news for you.

wishing you good luck for your results.

Hi Ruth,
no problem at all, we all know how you are feeling and it’s a lonely feeling but it helps being able to chat on here. Try not to worry until you know what you are dealing with and keeping busy helps but easier said than done I know.
Everything crossed for you.
take care Netty x
