Hello.
I found out yesterday that my Chemotherapy is starting next week. I didn’t sleep well last night. It’s like reality has just hit!
Can you give me any advice on what to take to my Chemo sessions?
Sending love to everyone. x
There is nothing that I can say that will ease your anxiety butttt it’s all do able this journey.
I’ve just come to the end of my journey after 18 months (now 37) and I got through chemo.
I am not saying it’s easy but it’s chemo!
I would suggest wearing comfy clothes especially bottom half just in case you need the loo - easier to get pants up and down.
Snacks, drink, possible headphones if you want to watch or listen to something, charger.
If you’re having cold cap, take conditioner. Nothing expensive and not one you particularly like.
Something to read if you want to read, possibly a blanket if you’re having cold cap but they will give you a blanket if you’re cold.
Anything to help pass the time!
It was really difficult not to people watch as it was so busy but I also found it interesting and used to interact with other patients.
It helped the time pass and sometimes it was someone with the same cancer! It helped to talk about things for me inside of keeping them bottled up inside xx
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
