Thanks for getting in touch. My name is Jo and I’m one of the Cancer Information Nurses on the Macmillan Support Line.

However, I’m sorry that you are now desperate due to menopausal symptoms and feel that you’re not getting the help you need. This sounds like a difficult time, and I’m pleased that you’ve reached out to us for advice and support.

Here is some information from our website about managing menopause symptoms after cancer treatment, including practical tips and complementary therapies.

The charity Menopause and Cancer offers a wide range of practical advice and support. It’s founder Dani Binnington also has a website Healthy Whole Me which has lots of wellbeing advice.

Dr Louise Newson’s guide to menopause if you've had breast cancer  has further information and advice.

You could also request an appointment with a registered menopause specialist to discuss your own specific needs.

It is normal to experience different emotions following a cancer diagnosis, there is no right or wrong way to feel, and it’s important that you don’t feel alone in dealing with these. There are a number of ways that we here at Macmillan can offer help and support.
