Failed hysteroscopy what next?
Dear CPS70138650
Thank you for getting in touch, my name is Pauline and I am one of the Cancer Information nurses on the support line. Welcome to our online community. I hope you are finding it helpful.
I am sorry to hear that your hysteroscopy has failed. It is difficult to comment on what steps are next without further information. As a nurse on the helpline I do not have access to your medical notes from the NHS.
The next steps would be dependent upon the reasons for the hysteroscopy, the individual needs of the patient and what the medics are trying to find out. There could possibly be other types of tests and scans used. This would be to find out as much as they can about the situation. This could be, MRI or CT scan, or possibly ultrasound imaging.
If you have access to a nurse specialist you may want to give them a call. If not, then you could call the person who requested the hysteroscopy. They should be able to tell you what the next steps will be.
It can be helpful to talk to someone about how this is affecting you and your wellbeing. You are more than welcome to give us a call on 0808 808 0808, from 8am til 8pm, seven days a week.
I hope this information was helpful.
