Hi Happychat,
Thanks for getting in touch, and welcome to the online community.
My name is Ursula and I’m one of the cancer information nurse specialists here at Macmillan.
I see that you’ve joined some of our forums. I hope you are finding them helpful and supportive.
I am sorry to read that you are experiencing restless legs at night and have been unable to sleep It is understandable to have questions around what might help with this.
As we are independent of the NHS and do not have access to medical records, we are therefore unable to offer personalised advice. However, we can signpost you to where you can seek some help and support with this.
The NHS has this overview on restless legs syndrome which includes possible causes and triggers, and also different treatments including lifestyle changes which may help ease the symptoms of restless legs syndrome.
We would also recommend speaking to your GP about your symptoms and how they are impacting upon your sleep, so they can assess you.
There is also a charity called Restless Leg Syndrome UK (RLS-UK). They provide information and support for people affected by restless legs syndrome.
I hope this information is helpful, and please don’t hesitate to get back in touch if you require any further information or support.
Sending best wishes,
Ursula
