I have been trying to conceive for a long period of time, I now have been diagnosed with hormonal cancer and I've just been informed I will be put on Tamoxifen for 10 years after chemotherapy and Radiotherapy, however I am now 43 years and my only fear is not being able to transfer the frozen embryo for a long period of time, taking this into consideration is it even worth going through the egg retrieval process to freeze my eggs for later pregnancy because by the end of the hormonal therapy I'd be 53 years old and probably go through menopause due to the cancer treatment and the hormonal meds?
Or can I transfer the frozen embryo when it's safe to do so after my chemotherapy and Radiotherapy and try to conceive before starting the hormonal therapy?
I know i am 43 years old now, but we've been trying to conceive since 2010.
