Hello,
I found a 3cm nodule in my left lobe. The radiologist said it is just a cyst, no problem with it.
I went to see an endocrinologist, who said first the same after seeing it on ultra sound, but asked several blood tests (all came back normal), and sent me to a scintigraphy.
After that I received a medical report that says it is a cold nodule and have to go back for a biopsy in 2 weeks.
He prescribed Euthyrox that I already had to start (despite normal thyroid hormones) and the medical report says "the nodule is partially in reorganisation".
Could you please let me know if the "in reorganisation" means it is becoming malignant, or it can mean something else as well? Also, why the doctor prescribed Euthyrox if the thyroid hormones are normal?
Unfortunately in my current country (I am an expat), the endocrinologist talks to the GP, not to the patient, so I cannot ask him until I go to the biopsy. My GP does not care at all - did not even send me the mail that I need to go back to biopsy.
Thank you,
