  • Hi Ratchetti2,

Thanks for getting in touch. My name is Sarah and I’m one of the cancer information nurse specialists.

I’m sorry to read about the symptoms your partner has been having. I can only imagine how worrying this must have been for you both, I hope they have settled down since your post on our online community.

If you haven’t done so already, it would be a good idea to phone your partners GP and hospital team today and ask for a review. They will be able to make the decision on whether he needs to be seen, arrange for any tests that are clinically indicated or if any medication would help with his symptoms.

It’s so difficult for the nurses on the support line to know what might be causing these symptoms, as we don’t have any access to medical records.

If you have any problems getting in touch with his hospital team or GP please call 111 as they can make a decision on what the next step should be.

I really hope this information was helpful.  Please know, you can always give us a call to talk things through further.

    Take care and best wishes,

    Sarah (Cancer Information Nurse Specialist)
