Hi Mydogcozmo
Thank you for getting in touch. My name is Fiona and I’m one of the Cancer Information Nurse Specialists here on the Macmillan Support Line. I hope that you are finding the Online Community a supportive space.
As you may know, Sotorasib is a targeted therapy drug that is used to treat non-small-cell lung cancer who have a particular mutation called KRAS G12C.
Unfortunately, tiredness and fatigue are common side effects with Sotorasib. Some people find that the side effects get better in time whilst others can find that they are persistent and can get worse.
Having constant tiredness can be very difficult. We have some information here that she might find helpful. It would also be useful for her to let her hospital team be aware of how much this is affecting her; her Consultant may decide to reduce the dose of her treatment a little to see if that helps.
Looking after someone close to you with cancer can be hard. It is important to look after yourself too. You might find it useful to join one of the forums; we have a Family and Friends forum and you may also find support at the Roy Castle Foundation.
I hope you find this information helpful. Please don’t hesitate to get back in touch if you need further advice and support.
with best wishes
