  • Hi 0411,

Thanks for getting in touch and welcome to the online community. My name is Fiona and I’m one of the Macmillan cancer information nurses.

I hope you are recovering well after your surgery.

You’ve described finding a hard lump on the implant site. It is important that you contact your surgeon or specialist nurse to let them know about this. They can arrange to see you, and examine you to determine the cause.

On the Support Line we are separate to the NHS and do not have access to medical notes or NHS systems. Your surgical team are best placed to make a full assessment and decide what needs to be done next. They would want to hear from you.

I hope this information helps. Please feel free to get back in touch if you want more information or support.

    Best wishes,

    Fiona P,

    Cancer Information Nurse Specialist
