Dear Claire Bee222
Thank you for contacting us here at Macmillan Cancer Support. My name is Rae and I am a Cancer Information Nurse Specialist.
Claire, it is very important that you contact your team if you are feeling unwell whilst on chemotherapy.
If you were given a telephone number to call if unwell whilst on chemotherapy, can you call immediately so that you can be assessed by a team who likely know you and have access to your medical notes.
If you are unable to speak to your team, please call 111. We advise this because although we are nurses here on the Support Line, we are not part of the NHS and therefore cannot organise for you to be assessed.
Best wishes
Rae, Cancer Information Nurse Specialist
You can also speak with the Macmillan Support Line team of experts. Phone free on 0808 808 0000 (7 days a week, 8am-8pm) or send us an email.
