I have been having some strange things happen to me. My vision seams to be blurry, I had a lump appear (not had previously) now it has turned into a bruise on my breast. Bad constipation tummy pains & lots of wind. Is this all normal to expect. Mel x

  • Hi Big blue eyes

Thanks for getting in touch with us and welcome to the online community. My name’s Simon and I’m one of the Senior Cancer Information Nurses on the Macmillan Support Line.

I understand that you started chemotherapy and immunotherapy for triple negative breast cancer last week. I’m sorry to hear that you have experienced blurred vision and a bruise on your chest along with constipation.

On the Macmillan Support Line we do not have access to NHS or medical records, so in some circumstances, we would refer you back to your treatment team.

I wonder if you were given contact details of a 24 hour chemotherapy support line at the hospital you had your treatment? If so, we would strongly suggest that you contact them about your symptoms as soon as possible so that you can be assessed. If you do not have access to a 24 hour support line, then we would suggest urgent contact with 111 to get an assessment.

I hope this information is of some help.

    Best wishes

Simon:  Senior Cancer Information Nurse Specialist
