CT scan confusion

Hi I’m bit confused,
My scan in April mentioned that the node on my liver, and also the gastro lymph node both reduced in size and also significant regression of the gastro oesophageal junction tumour.
The results I received this time mention the liver node, reducing again as well as the gastro lymph node but there is no mention anywhere about a gastro oesophageal junction tumour in the report, which is a bit confusing.
Many thanks for any advice/ help

  •  Hi

Thank you for getting in touch. My name is Linda and I am one of the Cancer Information Nurse Specialists on the Macmillan Support Line.

Unfortunately, as we have no access to NHS or GP held records it would be difficult for us to comment on the report, otherwise we would be speculating about the reason for this.

The best course of action would be to contact your specialist team to ask if they can advise why this has not been mentioned.

If you have a clinical nurse specialist, it might help to contact them or to call the secretary of your consultant and ask to speak with someone in your team.

If you don’t have contact details for the nurse or secretary you can call the main hospital number and ask to be put through them. Sometimes you might need to leave a message on their answer machine if they are not available to take your call, so they can get back to you.

I hope this information is helpful but if you have any more questions please don’t hesitate to get back in touch.

    Best wishes,

    Linda, Cancer Information Nurse Specialist
