Hi ChyGwyn
Thanks for getting in touch. My name is Sarah and I’m one of the cancer information nurse specialists on the Macmillan support line.
I see from your profile that you haven’t joined any of our online community forums’ yet. These can be a good place to ask questions, such as suggestions about clothing with a nephrostomy.
Nexus, Nephrostomy UK have a list of charities for support. You may find online communities to talk with others who have had to find various clothes suitable to wear.
After care instructions usually explain about keeping the area clean, allowing drainage and feeling comfortable. It’s important to bear this in mind when choosing clothes.
I hope you find some helpful suggestions from others.
If we can help with anything else, please don’t hesitate to get back in touch.
Best wishes,
Sarah
Cancer Information Nurse Specialist
