  • Dear Suey74

Thank you for getting in touch with us at Macmillan Cancer Support. My name is Luzia and I’m one of the Cancer Information Nurse Specialists

I am sorry to read about the pain you are experiencing since you travelled to Spain. Breast pain can have different origins such as Lymphoedema, infection, blood clots etc. Flying after breast cancer surgery can have risks, however your surgery is not very recent.

We recommend that you get this looked at by your Breast Team/GP urgently to have it assessed. If the symptoms worsen or you are unable for someone to assess you today, we advise that you call 111/999.

I see that you have joined a couple of our forums. We hope that you find these a good support to yourself.

I hope this information is helpful. If you have any further questions, please get in touch again. You can also speak with the Macmillan Support Line team of experts. Phone free on 0808 808 0000 (7 days a week, 8am-8pm) or send us an email or contact us through webchat

    Best wishes
