I have had a call with the onolcolgist ahead of planned surgery (date set for a few weeks time) but now they have asked me to go back and see them but haven't given a reason as to why, should I be worried?
We had agreed to the type of surgery etc and as i say a date has been set along with pre-op dates etc, so why would they want to see me again?

It is difficult for me to say why you have been asked to go back and see the hospital team again. I’m not clear who you are seeing, but please do remember that sometimes people are seen if complex information needs to be given, if plans need to be changed, or to help prepare for the planned treatment.
The people best placed to talk to explain why you need this appointment are your treatment team. If you haven’t already done so you could contact your allocated nurse specialist and they may well be able to discuss this with you.
It is very normal to feel anxious when plans change. There is support available to you including access to free specialist counselling.
