many thanks

Hi Ann,
Thanks for getting in touch with our online community. My name is Sarah one of the cancer information nurses on the Macmillan support line. I can see you have joined our breast cancer forum; I hope you are finding this helpful and supportive.
A healthy diet is the best way to get a healthy supply of vitamins, to stay healthy. As hormone therapy can increase the risk of bone thinning, Vitamin D and Calcium supplements can be prescribed to support bone strength.
If you are considering taking any extra vitamin supplements this should be discussed with your hospital team or clinical nurse specialist, as some can affect how treatment’s work. It maybe helpful to ask for a referral to speak with a dietician to discuss diet and supplements.
I hope this information is helpful. If you have any further questions, please get in touch again. You can also speak with the Macmillan Support Line team of experts. Phone free on 0808 808 0000 (7 days a week, 8am-8pm) or send us an email.
Best wishes
Sarah
