I have been diagnosed with CLL for 5 years, not been getting any treatment yet, however I am now getting acute breathlessness and tiredness, I presume this is caused by anaemia is there something I can do about this.

Hello Derek17
Thanks for getting in touch, and welcome to our online community. My name is George, and I'm one of the Cancer Information Nurse Specialists on the Macmillan Support Line. I'm sorry to read you appear to be getting symptoms that you believe could be due to your Chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL).
Unfortunately, we do not have access to the NHS and personal medical records and can only give general information and support. Therefore, we recommend discussing any questions with your medical team or GP.
Breathlessness can indeed be due to anaemia associated with your CLL, and there are many interventions that your treatment team can implement to treat and alleviate these symptoms and effects. However, there can be many causes of shortness of breath, some of which can be very serious if not correctly and immediately assessed, diagnosed, and treated.
Symptoms such as yours must be reported immediately to your treatment team, GP or 111. If your symptoms continue or suddenly worsen today, or you cannot contact your treatment team at the hospital, you should call 999 for immediate assessment.
Please do not hesitate to contact us on the support line to discuss any further concerns or questions.
I hope this helps answer your questions and concerns.
Best wishes,
George
