Hello Bratpackstress,
My name is Fran I am one of the Macmillan Cancer Information Nurses. Thank you for getting in touch with us today. I can see that you are signed up to some of our forums, I hope you are finding these helpful.
Here on the Online Community we do not have access to people’s medical records. If someone is experiencing new, ongoing, or worsening symptoms we would always recommend that you contact a doctor, your hospital team or NHS 111 to talk about that with them. They can then assess you and decide what to do next.
A normal pulse rate can be between 60 – 100 beats per minute. Everyone has different readings which are normal for them. Your Oncology team would be able to compare your pulse of 110 with what your pulse is normally and decide if they would like to assess you further.
Due to you being on chemotherapy, I would suggest getting in contact with your Oncology team today regarding your concerns around your resting pulse. Often when people are receiving chemotherapy, they get given an alert card with a number to call if they are feeling unwell or are worried about any symptoms. If you don’t have access to one of these cards, then call the hospital switchboard and ask to be put through to the chemotherapy helpline.
I hope this information helps. Please feel free to get back in touch if you want more information or support.
Best wishes,
Fran,
Cancer Information Nurse Specialist
