Hi, I had a left breast lumpectomy and sentinel node biopsy on 12th July but had to have further surgery on 29th July because the tumour had grown and there wasn't a clear enough margin taken -they also removed a large haematoma as well. I am doing ok and my breast is actually more comfortable after the second op, what I wanted to ask about was breast pain.
I am getting shooting breast pains - is that normal? Is it the nerve paths kitting back together perhaps? Also, I was walking my dog a couple of days ago and she's very good on the lead, but a squirrel ran across our path and she tried to chase it and pulled me and at that moment I had the lead in my left hand, since then the pains have got much worse and just about stop me in my tracks! Has it caused some internal damage? Will it settle down or should I get it checked out? and if so who with? (cant get an appointment with my GP for 3 weeks)
Do hope you can give me some advice and reassurance
PS I did try searching if anyone else had reported this but couldn't find anything and there isn't a search facility in your area
Many thanks
