Dear Gooty
Welcome to the online community my name is Sarah one of the cancer information nurses.
Different cancers can affect the eye, one of which is called a spindle cell cancer. I apologise if I have misunderstood your diagnosis.
Being diagnosed with cancer can understandably cause different emotions. It can also mean you have lots of questions which you may not be able to ask your clinical team about or are unable to get through to them.
At Macmillan we provide support through information on our website, booklets and our nurses are available to talk things through with you. Although we don’t have access to your NHS notes we can talk in general terms about diagnosis, treatment, advice and support when someone is living with cancer.
Our support line offers confidential support through our teams including finance, emotional support and a work support team. We also offer free specialist counselling through BUPA.
You may want to reach out for support from others who share similar experiences through our online community eye cancer forum.
Whatever support you need please don’t hesitate to get in touch through our online community or our support line.
I hope this information helps. Please feel free to get back in touch if you want more information or support.
Best wishes,
Sarah S
Cancer Information Nurse Specialist
