  • Hi Peter

Welcome to the Online Community here at Macmillan. I hope you find it a helpful place to access support and ask questions. My name is Vanessa, and I am one of the cancer information nurses here at the Macmillan Cancer Support Line.

The Scottish Government has information on its website regarding the Covid 19 spring booster programme which suggests that you would be eligible for a booster as due to your planned treatment you would be assessed as having a weakened immune system.

The timing of Covid vaccination in relation to cancer treatment does however need to be considered and it is best to discuss this with your treatment team before booking.

When ready to book, NHS Inform have a booking page which includes a link to the online booking portal.

If you continue to experience problems booking an appointment, we would suggest that you speak to your hospital team again. They may be able to suggest other ways to access it.

I hope you find this information helpful. You can also always call one of our nurses directly if you want to talk over your concerns or require any further support.

    Take care
