Hi I am just about to start Abemaciclib and going to Spain at the same time should I cancel holiday

    Welcome to the Online Community here at Macmillan Cancer Support. I’m one of the Cancer Information Nurses here. We hope you find this a warm and approachable place to seek support from others and ask questions.

    I can understand why you may have concerns about going away just after starting a new medication. Abemaciclib can have side effects and it’s difficult to know how this might affect you. The best people to speak with in this circumstance will be your specialist treatment team at the hospital and they can advise further.

    We also have some helpful information on our website about travel and cancer that you may find helpful to read as it has some useful information to help you plan if you do decide to go.
