Hi , I had a radiology guided clip put in on the 29th, last night and this morning my breast is aching, my ribs under my breast front and back are painful and hurts to touch, like they are bruised is this normal?

    Welcome to the online community. I can see you have joined the breast cancer forum. I hope you’re finding it helpful talking to others.

    Sorry to hear you’re experiencing pain after having a guided radiology clip inserted. There could be a number reasons for the discomfort, including technique when the clip was inserted, position of the clip or due to the bruising you mentioned around the site.

    We would suggest contacting your team or the Radiology dept as soon possible to let them know about the discomfort you’re having. They are in an ideal position to re-assess your breast to see what is causing the pain and offer pain appropriate management advice.
