Travelling abroad with a stoma

Hi, could someone give me some advice please my wife and I will be going to Turkey for a much needed break has anyone got any tips on travelling with a stoma bag thank you in advance xx

    Thanks for your post and welcome to the online community. I’m Eileen one of the Cancer Information Nurses on the Macmillan support line.

    I’m pleased to hear that you and your wife are going to be having a holiday but can appreciate that you both might have some concerns about travelling with a stoma bag.

    This travel guide may be of benefit as it provides lots of tips for managing a stoma bag in a hot climate, travelling with stoma equipment supplies and flying when you have a stoma.

    The Bladder and Bowel Community and Colostomy UK also provide detailed information about travelling abroad that might be of interest.
