Travelling after general anesthesic for melanoma wide local excision and SLN excision / biopsy

Dear Mac, 

The excision surgery is scheduled for 4th August in Oxford, including a general anesthesic. When might be a good period for recovery, prior to visiting my son's new family in USA? Their baby is already a few weeks old.

    Congratulations on the new arrival to the family. I expect you are very keen to go and visit your son and his family.

    The NHS have provided guidelines on flying after surgery. It’s also important that you check with your consultant to get their guidance on this.
