Hi I’m on watch and wait at moment in the last couple of weeks a little rice sized lump keeps appearing just above my collar bone. I already have swellings each side of collar bone which are squishy. This is hard but only tiny should I ring to see my team. I have a check up beginning of august.
thanks Blush

  • Hi Budgie 123

Thanks for getting in touch and for your question. I can appreciate that you are wondering about contacting your team at the hospital about this.

We would recommend giving them a call to let them know that you have noticed this little rice sized lump appearing and that it feels small but hard. This doesn’t mean that your lymphoma is worse or even that it’s anything to do with it, but haematologists and nurse specialists like to be kept up to date with any symptom/change that’s new for you.

When you let them know it gives them the opportunity to decide what to do. This sometimes means seeing you a bit sooner or organising for further tests/examinations prior to your next appointment.

Please give them a ring today and let them know about this new wee lump so that you can be checked out.

    I hope this is helpful.

    Best wishes,

    Fiona (Cancer Information Nurse Specialist)
