Hi,
I had surgery to remove my lobe following non small cell cancer and all lymph nodes removed. Been told both ops were successful but need follow up chemotherapy to stop a recurrence. How likely is a recurrence? I am a 47 year old female.

I was sorry to read that you were diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer and have undergone surgery on your lung and had removal of lymph nodes. I hope you are recovering well from this.
As we are not directly involved with your care and do not have access to your medical records, unfortunately we are unable to predict how likely a recurrence would be for you personally. In some cases, recurrence rates post-surgery can remain high. However, in terms of percentages this does appear to be very subjective and involves many variables.
It’s not clear from your post if you considering whether to undergo chemotherapy or not and are asking for the likelihood of a recurrence with or without chemotherapy.
We would recommend you discuss this with your consultant who will be best placed to help you understand your individual situation.
