What can they do with a trebaculated bladder to repair so I can pee agsin

  • Hi Rickguitar60,

Welcome to the online community. I can see you have also posted some questions in other groups and I hope you find the support from others helpful.

Trabeculation of the bladder usually happens because of an obstruction of blockage. The muscles in the bladder wall must work harder, losing their tone and begin to hold onto urine longer. From what I have read in your other posts, I believe you have been told you have ureter cancer and there is plan for surgery to remove your kidney.

The treatment for your bladder condition is to treat the cause – which is your cancer. Once you have had your surgery and recovered you will have the opportunity to discuss this further with your urology team.

I understand how difficult coping with a catheter is and why you are looking for reassurance. You mention the possibility of a suprapubic catheter, and I would urge you to speak to your consultant again, to help you make sense of your treatment plan. They will talk you through what they expect following surgery, including any improvement (or not) in your bladder function.

Making a list of questions to ask your consultant beforehand will help you get the most out of your appointment.

If looking for additional support regarding your retention of urine and catheter, Bladder & Bowel UK have good information and a support line where you can talk through your concerns.

Best wishes for your upcoming surgery,
