Hi My dad has a lung tumour in his right lung. He has just finished his tests but has showed me a lump on the back of his knee. I think its his lymph node. Would that mean that Ca has spread to the lymph nodes. The Macmillan nurse had told us the tumour was near to his lymph nodes in his chest.

  • Hi Lainey73

Thanks for getting in touch and welcome to the online community.

I understand that it’s worrying whilst waiting for the results of your dad’s tests. Caring for someone with cancer can be a difficult and emotional time. There is support available for you too.

It’s important that he tells his specialist team about any new symptoms like this lump. Unfortunately, as we don’t have access to your dad’s notes and aren’t involved in his care, we can’t diagnose what this lump is. You could contact his nurse specialist and talk to them about your concerns as they know about your dad’s cancer.

    I hope this helps

    Best wishes,
