Trying to make sense of different treatment options and decisions can be difficult and confusing. However, there are several things to consider when you are trying to decide. It is good to think about the possible benefits and disadvantages of treatment to help you make the right decision for you. There are no right or wrong answers.
It’s difficult for us as nurses to say what would be the best option with regards to your individual treatment. We would always encourage you to get back in touch with your oncologist or specialist nurse. It’s important that they understand you are struggling to make a decision. They will be happy to answer any questions or concerns you still have.
Such a complex decision is often hard to make by yourself. You might find it helps to talk with your family and friends before deciding. You may also find it useful talking to others in a similar situation to yourself.
