hello there group,

I am contacting yourselves as I would like some help. i had a pet ct scan on the 31st December of my body. i am very very thin and my body shape has changed. i look as if I have cachexia. My arms are getting thinner every day and my memory is failing me more and more by the second.

I am very worried. The scan showed that there was an area of bright yellow light in the area between the hips which we women have. I remember when I also saw a scan last year with the head yellow I was told it was nothing. I cannot help I am being treated like a human guinea pig and so are my parents.

I am being treated like a human guinea pig and am getting worse. My blood test results are very very low and this worries me. Doctors and Gps are trying to take control of my welfare as well as that of my mother and father. I would really appreciate some advice here. I am very very sick and scared. I was told that if anything happened to me it would be seen as covid

i am very worried. Please can someone help me. I am also losing capacity every day that passes.

Kind regards,

Elizabeth

    Hi, Lizzy 84

Thanks for your post. I can see you’ve joined a few of our forums and I hope you’re finding this support helpful.

My name is Eileen and I’m one of the Cancer Information Nurse Specialists on the Macmillan Support Line.

I’m sorry to hear you’re having such a difficult time and I can appreciate that you are feeling scared and worried.

As we are not a part of the NHS and don’t have access to your medical records, we are unable to see your scan results and blood tests. Your specialist or GP would need to explain the results to you.

You have mentioned too that you are losing capacity with every day that passes and have concerns about your welfare and rights. I wonder if you have a Mental Health crisis team that you could speak to about this.

You can read about your rights around your social care and mental health.  Your local Social Services are also there to help with any worries you have about your welfare.

If you have concerns about the way your doctors are treating you, the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) might be of help. They can provide assistance and support in resolving these issues.

You can also seek advice from the NHS Complaints Advocacy Service at any point. If you live in England you can contact your local Healthwatch representative for support.

I hope this is of some help today, but please don’t hesitate to get back in touch if you need further information or support.

    Best wishes

    Eileen
