Hi Meret,
Thanks for your post and welcome to the online community.
I’m Eileen one of the Cancer Information Nurse Specialists on the Macmillan Support Line.
I hope all goes well with your chemotherapy.
Before your treatment starts It’s important to let your treatment team know about any supplements that you take.
They will be able to let you know whether it’s safe to take them alongside your chemotherapy or whether they might interfere or interact with the Capox.
There is evidence that high-dose antioxidant supplements such as co enzyme Q10, selenium and the vitamins A, C and E could interfere with how well cancer drugs work. For this reason, you may be advised not to take these supplements during treatment.
I hope this is helpful but please don’t hesitate to get back in touch if you need further information or support.
Best wishes
Eileen
